Good Story 117: Les Miserables (2012)
Scott has found a perfect location for a Den of Dissolutes in downtown Paris, but he can't understand why Julie is building a barricade outside. Not a chair left in the place! So they have to stand while discussing Les Miserables (2012), directed by Tom Hooper.
Not long ago I read Leah Libresco's "Arriving at Amen: Seven Catholic Prayers That Even I Can Offer" which is excellent. The reason I reference this is that when she first saw the play version she latched on to the character of Javert who was inspirational to her. She is very insightful about this character and the role this character played in her conversion.

ReplyDeleteAs for the movie version, I enjoyed it very much.
That's a book I've been wanting to read. Thanks for the reminder!
DeleteInteresting! I need to get a copy of that book.
