  1. I also quite enjoyed this movie and even more amazingly I even liked George Clooney in it which is quite a feat. Though it is rather quirky and you can see the seams with everything sewn together from different sources.

    I generally like the Coen brother films, but I was rather surprised at how they were actually able to pull off "True Grit" without stamping their normal signature on it.

    Now as to "based on the Odyssey" well that is just as true as the normal "based on a true story" in other words - not so much.
