Julie and Scott talk about Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton without once saying "hold onto your butts". They note that the Hammond in the book is not a very nice guy. After discussing the book, they bounce off the path and talk about education and our beloved Pope. Then the raptors chase them off.

I recently read Jurassic Park back in September and what a great book.
ReplyDeleteI have also very recently read "The Monks of Tibhirine: Faith, Love, and Terror in Algeria" by John Kiser which is what the movie "Of God's and Men" was based on. I so loved that movie on almost every level. Just a breathtaking film and one that seems to authentic concerning the life of these monks. The book also was very good and I am glad to know much more about the lives of these monks and their individual histories. The author goes to great pains to get these details right and to show the life of these monks and the people in the village they lived in. Very balanced especially concerning the lives of the Muslims involved on the good and bad side.
