A truly excellent follow up BOOK would be A History of Loneliness by John Boyne, about the priest dealing with the aftermath of the scandals in Ireland, how it effects his relationships and how he can work with the community, how the health of the church as a body is impacted. Very thought provoking (and not, in my mind, anti-Catholic)
